Introduction
What the Godspeeds Next.js SaaS starter kit includes, who it is for, and how it differs from a free template.
Godspeeds is a production-grade SaaS starter kit for Next.js. It exists to close the gap between a working prototype and an application you can put real users and real money in front of — the weeks of work that sit between npm create next-app and a product that is safe to launch.
Most templates give you a landing page and a login form. Godspeeds gives you the parts that are slow to build and easy to get wrong: access control, an admin surface to run the business from, and payments wired end to end.
What's included
- Security-first architecture — role-based access control, protected routes, guarded API endpoints, and environment isolation built into the foundation rather than bolted on.
- Admin dashboard and analytics — user management, revenue metrics, and business analytics, so you can operate the product from day one.
- Built-in AI agent skills — pre-installed agentic skills that help you scaffold features, debug, and ship faster.
- Auth, database, and payments — Clerk, Convex, and Stripe pre-configured and talking to each other.
- Mobile (bundle tier) — a React Native and Expo app running against the same backend.
Who it's for
Godspeeds is aimed at developers and small teams shipping commercial software — B2B products, internal tools, and SaaS you intend to charge for. If you are building something users will trust with their data, the architecture here is the point.
It assumes working knowledge of React and TypeScript. You do not need prior experience with Clerk, Convex, or Stripe — each is covered in these docs, and all three have free tiers you can develop against.
License
